Gentlemen: About men’s jewellery

Boštjan Podlogar
A mere few weeks after the premiere of FOPE’s men’s jewellery collection, Gospoda (Gentlemen) found themselves in Draguljarna Malalan jewellery store where, accompanied by numerous Italian gesticulations, the discussion revolved around YouTube adds, that unfortunate name for espresso, and their attitude towards men’s jewellery.

You can watch the video to find out how David makes Jure uneasy by mentioning a wedding ring and what can be overlooked if a man wears cufflinks.

A Theory

In just over twenty minutes, a theory is developed about the parallels between the real-estate market in Slovenia and the selection of a bracelet, and a thesis is put forward about noble titles that suit men’s jewellery. David attempts to teach Jure about various shapes of diamonds and their characteristics, while Jure wonders about how jewellery can influence a man’s style.

Gospoda premiere in Slovenia the Fope cufflinks, bracelets, and rings of this iconic Italian jeweller. The fact that Fope elastic bracelets are made exclusively of 18 carat gold poses a question of how many is the most carats gold can have. You can read more about what is 18 carat gold in one of our articles.

FOPE Cufflinks

Gospoda take us “into a completely different time” though their vivid description of their affection for cufflinks; the cherry on top is added by Godler when reading Italian quotations, such as “Happy is the man who lives life in a good spirit and lets the mind guide him through the opportunities and adversities of life.”

You can watch more about which of the Fope pieces are dearest to either in the video or listen to in a video recording here.
