Breitling 2023 Novelties

In recent years, Breitling has been experiencing a renaissance. It has been picking eternal classics and sleeping legends from its rich history, turning them into new stories. Sometimes in the air, other times in water, and now, with the Top Time Collection, on burning asphalt. Four new timepieces with a chronograph have been dedicated to icons from the world of classic cars.

Unlike the watchmaker’s sporty models, the new watches of the Breitling Premier Collection bring more elegance and sophistication. The collection is available in six colours and in a case made of red gold.

Top Time Recalls Driving Pleasures

In the 1960s, everything revolved around freedom, fun, energy, and experimenting. Driving a motorcycle or a sports car at high speeds with the wind in your hair was the perfect embodiment of this. Willy Breitling, the grandson of the brand’s founder, was well aware of the changes and introduced them in an unconventional chronograph that captured the spirit of the time: the Breitling Top Time was created.

Decades later, Breitling introduces four new Top Time B01 timepieces that drew inspiration from the famous American sports cars. Each of them is marked by the intense colour of its dial: the Ford Thunderbird in white, Ford Mustang in green, the red presents the Chevrolet Corvette, while blue stands for the Shelby Cobra.

Next to the Breitling logo is the inscription TOP TIME and the logotype of an individual car. All models are based on the Top Time B01 chronographic movement within a 41mm case.

Old Chronograph in a New Guise

The Breitling Premier Collection belongs among the brand’s oldest lines and was introduced for the first time in 1943. At Breitling, daring lines and conspicuous colours are the domain of the Navitimer and Chronomat Collections, while the Premier speaks to those who are drawn by a slightly more discreet sporty elegance. Breitling presents six new models of the Premier B01 Chronograph line, from which six timepieces are in steel and one in 18-carat red gold.

Watches run on the house movement of Calibre 01 found in the 42mm case. On the dial, available in black, blue, green, salmon, or cream, two counters are found near Arabic numerals arranged around the circumference. As becomes a chronograph watch, a tachymeter to measure speed is found on the dial’s outer edge. It is available with a leather strap or a seven-link metal bracelet.
