Panerai 2025 Novelties
Panerai: new Luminor collection
In 1860, Giovanni Panerai opened a watchmaking workshop and later a watchmaking school in Florence. Based on technical innovations, they began to cooperate with the Italian navy, the Regia Marina, which left a deep mark on the identity of the prestigious watchmaker. The robust case is recognisable by its silhouette with rounded edges and large numbers on one of the most legible and luminescent dials.

Panerai Luminor Marina: thinner but more powerful
The flagship of the Italian brand Panerai is the Luminor Marina collection, which can be immediately recognised by its patented crown protection. Even in the renewed version, they maintain the identity of the timepiece, which is built by the seconds dial at the 9 o'clock position. The new Luminor Marina is lighter, thinner, and has greater water resistance.
All models are 44mm in size, and you can choose between black, white, and blue dials on steel case models and a green dial on the titanium model. Steel models are 15 per cent lighter than the previous version, and the titanium timepiece is 44 per cent lighter than steel ones. They remain faithful to the recognisable two-layer dial with a cutout, better known as the “sandwich dial”, and the coating of Super-LumiNova X2 ensures high luminescence in the dark.
The heart of the watch has also been improved. The calibre P.980 movement once again enables the stop-seconds function. A look at the back of the watch reveals that attention has been paid to the smallest details. The 72-hour winding mechanism is more refined and further polished for a captivating look on both sides of the case. As befits a diver's watch, the Luminor Marina can be taken to the depths of the sea to 500 metres.

Panerai Luminor Perpetual Calendar GMT PAM01575
For more complications, prestige, and creative boldness, look towards the Luminor Perpetual Calendar GMT Platinumtech PAM01575 model. The sapphire blue dial subtly hides the day and date dials. The seconds dial has AM and PM markings and a small blue arrow as an indicator of day or night. The larger blue arrow shows the GMT function time. As the name suggests, it is a platinum alloy that, due to a special treatment of the metal, has 40 per cent greater strength and thus scratch resistance compared to standard platinum.
