Zenith Opens a Window into the Heart of the Watch

The Swiss watchmaker Zenith secured its place in horological history in 1969 with the introduction of the El Primero, the world's first serially produced automatic chronograph movement. Widely regarded as one of the greatest milestones in modern watchmaking, its contemporary evolution continues to power the brand's latest creations. Following the celebration of its 160th anniversary last year, Zenith's newest releases build upon the Maison's most iconic achievements.

Zenith Chronomaster Sport Skeleton

Zenith has long been renowned for its skeletonised timepieces. This year, the brand takes the concept a step further by opening up the dial of the Chronomaster collection, offering an unobstructed view into the heart of the watch.

The sporty chronograph, featuring the collection's signature three overlapping sub-dials, is powered by the El Primero 3600SK movement, beating at a high frequency of 5 Hz. The exposed architecture reveals the movement's intricate engineering while adding remarkable visual depth and mechanical character.

The 41 mm case is available in stainless steel with either a black or green ceramic bezel, as well as in 18-carat rose gold paired with a black ceramic bezel. For the stainless-steel models, Zenith also introduces a new bracelet clasp featuring a micro-adjustment system for enhanced wearing comfort.

Zenith has also unveiled a new two-tone Chronomaster Sport featuring a mother-of-pearl dial, bringing a more refined interpretation to the collection. The natural material creates a striking contrast with the three signature multi-coloured sub-dials while preserving the unmistakable Chronomaster identity. The dial itself becomes the centrepiece, with its captivating play of light adding depth and richness to the design, while the combination of stainless steel and rose gold softens the chronograph's otherwise sporty character.

The G.F.J. Collection

The initials G.F.J. pay tribute to Zenith's founder, Georges Favre-Jacot.

The collection now welcomes two remarkable additions: an 18-carat yellow gold model featuring a rare green heliotrope stone dial, and a darker interpretation with an onyx dial housed in a tantalum case set with diamonds.

Both timepieces are powered by the newly re-engineered Calibre 135. This manually wound movement is COSC-certified and offers a 72-hour power reserve. Originally developed for observatory chronometry competitions, the Calibre 135 remains one of the most celebrated and historically significant movements in Zenith's heritage.
