Our specialist teams of dedicated service watchmakers apply their skills with passion and precision to restore your watch to optimal functional and aesthetical conditions. IWC’s complete service comes with a 24-month guarantee on all work and replacement parts.

As the final good of ingenious mechanical engineering, the longevity and accuracy of the movement benefits from maintenance.
Diagnosis
Upon arrival at our Service Centre, your watch is thoroughly inspected by the trained eye of a qualified IWC watch diagnostician. The experienced specialist carefully examines the case of the timepiece, checking it for any aesthetical imperfections. Subsequently, a series of tests are carried out assessing the technical functionality of the movement and complications.
Diagnosis results
Placing your watch on a timing machine, the watchmaker precisely measures the watch’s degree of accuracy in various positions. Based on the findings of the detailed inspection process, the watchmaker will be able to determine the appropriate service, and possible part replacements, required to guarantee the good function of your watch into the future.
Movement Works
As the final good of ingenious mechanical engineering, the longevity and accuracy of the movement benefits from maintenance. During the service, an experienced watchmaker disassembles the movement into its individual parts. All components are carefully cleaned and particles of dust and oil residue are removed. The condition of each individual part is then carefully inspected and worn components are replaced with like-for-like genuine parts.
Case Work
Included in a Complete Service, is the optional polishing of the watch case and bracelet. Should the case of your timepiece exhibit any significant irregularities or deep traces of wear, a laser welding correction may be additionally proposed. With an experienced hand and plenty of patience, a specially trained craftsman will even out irregularities and works to carefully polish or matte all surfaces.
Reassembly of the Watch
During the reassembly of the watchcase, all seals and gaskets are systematically replaced to ensure your IWC watch will be water resistant to the depth guaranteed at the time of purchase. Next, the glass is securely placed back onto the watch and the movement is re-inserted behind the dial into the finished case. Lastly, the caseback is securely refitted. Now, your finely constructed watch movement is once again protected against humidity and contamination through dust particles or dirt.
Quality Control
Following the reassembly of the case and movement, the watch undergoes a comprehensive check by an IWC watchmaker. The functional tests include a control of the power reserve of the watch and strict measurement of the degree of accuracy. This control is performed over a period of time and in various positions. The water resistance of the watch is likewise assessed. Having passed all controls, you can be sure that your returning timepiece meets our strict requirements for quality and precision.
